SUGARCUBE® no longer offers Gift Certificates as of March 2024. Gift Certificates issued prior to March 01, 2024 are valid if they are within their six month usability period. Once the six month validation period ends the Gift Certificate is no longer valid for use or for any form of redemption.  

Terms and Conditions

Issued Gift Certificates and Gift Cards have identification numbers, stated expiration dates, and explicit terms. We, in our sole discretion, may refuse to sell a Gift Certificate or Gift Card to any person for any reason. Sugarcube® also does not represent or warrant that your Gift Certificate or Gift Card will always be accepted. Sugarcube® Gift Cards follow the exact same terms and condition as Sugarcube® Gift Certificates. March 2024 ends this program for gift certificates and/or gift cards. 

Validation

Sugarcube Gift Certificates are valid when full payment has been received and successfully processed by Sugarcube Inc. As of March 2024 Sugarcube no longer offers this program. 

Keep safe

Please treat Sugarcube Gift Certificates ‘like cash’. Gift Certificates will not be replaced or refunded if lost or stolen. Your gift certificate is not transferable and is physically required at the time of purchase.

Expiration

Sugarcube Gift Certificates have a 6-month expiration date from time of purchase as marked on each certificate. Sugarcube Inc. does not extend expiration dates for any reason, no exceptions. Should Sugarcube close all unused certificates will no longer be valid for redemption online or in person. All certificates will be automatically expired. 

Redemption

Sugarcube Gift Certificates must be redeemed through our Philadelphia store. Please note: possible shipping charges are additional to the amount of each Gift Certificate. 

Limitations

Sugarcube Gift Certificates cannot be returned for a refund or exchanged for cash. All sales are final. 

Sugarcube Gift Certificates cannot be used to purchase Sugarcube Gift Certificates.

Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient’s Gift Certificate account and is not transferable. The original 6-month time period applies to unused balances. Should Sugarcube close all unused certificates will no longer be valid for redemption online or in person. All certificates will be automatically expired. 

Special terms for purchased items
Please note an exception to our usual terms for items purchased by a Gift Certificate. If you return an item purchased with a Sugarcube Gift Certificate a modified 14-day return policy applies. A 6-month store credit will be issued from the date of original Gift Certificate purchase. Consecutive returns are not permissible under our 14-day store credit policy across the board. Should Sugarcube close all unused certificates or associated store credit will no longer be valid for redemption online or in person. All certificates and/or store credit will be automatically expired. 

For transactions exceeding the amount of your Gift Certificate, you must pay for the balance with a credit card or cash.

Compliance with law

By purchasing Sugarcube Gift Certificates, you are certifying and representing to Sugarcube Inc., Sugarcube.us and Sugarcube-Select.us that the activities in connection with which the Gift Certificate will be used comply with these specific Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including the Terms and Conditions that govern the Sugarcube.us website and in-store operating practices. In addition, you agree to defend and indemnify Sugarcube Inc. and its affiliates from and against any claims, expenses, liabilities or slander made against or incurred by any of them in connection with your use of the Gift Certificates or violation of any of these Terms and Conditions. Should Sugarcube close all unused certificates or store credit will no longer be valid for redemption online or in person. All certificates and/or store credit will be automatically expired. All sales are final. 

Merchant’s rights

Sugarcube Inc. reserves the right to refuse a gift certificate as payment for products if there is reasonable doubt about the Gift Certificate’s authenticity. Sugarcube Inc may exert the right to close customer accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained Gift Certificate is redeemed at Sugarcube in Philadelphia. All fraud or attempted fraud will be reported immediately with the intent to prosecute with the FBI Internet Fraud Complaint Center at http://www.ic3.gov, the Philadelphia Police Department, and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Should SUGARCUBE close location you understand your previously issued credit or gift certificate is no longer honored even within the allotted 6-month validation period as described above. All layaway items will be forfeited at that time. All sales are final. 

Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

Your purchase or use of a Sugarcube Gift Certificate constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice. All sales are final.
