Sugarcube moves to 124 North Third Street overnight. Opens next day with regular hours.
124 North Third Street site is gutted and built by Sugarcube owners. American hardwood yellow pine, circa early to mid 1800, salvaged from an old Northern Liberties feed mill in Philadelphia is used throughout the installation. Reclaimed surplus sheet metal used. Purity in material and process chosen for low environmental impact.
Sugarcube generated retail design expanded to larger place. Took over Foster’s Homeware lease.
